Since last Tuesday was a holiday, I was able to finish reading the Inheritance.
Inheritance is the fourth and final installment to the Inheritance cycle penned by Christopher Paolini. In order of release, the cycle included Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr (not in the picture).
My first acquisition was a hardbound copy of Eldest in 2005. I got it for free when I signed up for Powerbook’s The Book Club (TBC). It got me hooked and recommended it to friends including Cholo, one of my former housemates. He liked it just as much as I did and we ended up sharing the expense to buy a copy of Eragon in paperback.
Brisingr, I read in 2009. I don’t have my own copy yet and just borrowed from my then colleague, Kuya and from my housemate, Yix.
Inheritance, was given to me by one of my best friends last March. It was wonderfully unexpected. I noticed that the color of my nails matched the book cover and I immediately thought to myself that I was meant to have that book. Silly me.
But in retrospect, being able to finish the entire cycle (this was my introduction to the fantasy genre and dragons) and the manner of how I acquired three of the four books were all moments of serendipity.
